Laser Tattoo Removal

Laser Tattoo Removal

Laser tattoo removal is a procedure that uses high-intensity light pulses to break down tattoo ink particles in the skin so your body can naturally clear them away. It’s the most common and effective method for fading or fully removing unwanted tattoos.

Here’s how it works:
A laser targets the pigment in the tattoo with short bursts of light. The ink absorbs the light, heats up, and shatters into tiny fragments. Over time, your immune system flushes out these fragments, causing the tattoo to fade. Black ink is the easiest to remove because it absorbs all laser wavelengths, while colors like green, blue, and red may require specialized lasers.

What to expect:

  • Multiple sessions (usually 6–10) spaced several weeks apart

  • Some discomfort—often described like a rubber band snap

  • Temporary redness, swelling, or blistering

  • Gradual fading over months

It’s safe when performed by trained professionals, though results vary based on tattoo age, ink color, skin tone, and depth of the ink.
